Color Me NorCal
We’re all about Parks and Arts
We are a Greater Sacramento Area-based family focused on sharing playgrounds, urban murals, and providing free resources that encourage play and exploration. Occasionally we’ll share other adventures like hikes, splash pads, paddle boarding and more local fun! We love to connect with other creators and grown-ups who value time with family, engage with kids, the outdoors and the arts.
PlayScout App
We record our playground findings on the PlayScout App. PlayScout is the world's largest community-built playground map—100% free, no ads. Save your favorite playgrounds. Track playgrounds you have visited. Find the perfect playground for your kids. Filter through hundreds of playgrounds and narrow down that ones that fit your needs, kids ages and season.
Need bathrooms, specific swings, accessible equipment, splash pads and more! No problem! PlayScout can filter through it all!
We have contributed to over 250 playgrounds on the app. You can find most playgrounds in the Greater Sacramento Area on the PlayScout App! You can also contribute and rate playgrounds!
Playground Passport
After discovering the PlayScout app I thought it would be cool for my daughter to follow along. So I created the Playground Passport. It’s a simple, printable that you can make with your home printer, some scissors and stapler.

Since moving to Placer County, I’ve learned a lot about the civic and city systems and how a community can make a difference. In addition to encouraging Sactown residents to become acquainted with existing parks, I want to empower them to share their voices and opinions of future parks and playgrounds.
COMING SOON…
In the near future I will be providing a list of Greater Sac’s major cities and their parks and rec departments. There you will find resources and links to meetings, park developments, and more!
